The National Household Support Scheme programme was launched in the renewable energy sector to increase the use of renewable energy in the household end-use sector by providing funding for the purchase of the best equipment for solar domestic hot water and photovoltaic systems.
Components and budget of the procedure:
Component 1: Purchase of solar installations for DHW – BGN 12.8 million.
Component 2: Purchase of photovoltaic systems up to 10 kWp, including systems for
electricity storage – 67.2 million BGN.
Amount of funding:
Component 1: Purchase of solar installations for DHW – up to 100% of the cost of the installation, but not more than BGN 1 960.83.
Component 2: Purchase of photovoltaic systems up to 10 kWp, including electricity storage systems – up to 70% of the system cost, but not more than BGN 15 000.
Eligible costs:
- Purchase, supply and installation of solar DHW systems
- Purchase, supply and installation of photovoltaic systems up to 10 kWp (including on electricity storage system)
- Technical commissioning of the solar or photovoltaic installations purchase of fittings, cables, structure for installation of the installation, inverters, etc.
- Value added tax
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be a natural person, a Bulgarian citizen, a citizen of another Member State of the European Union or a citizen of a third country with permanent resident status in the Republic of Bulgaria, occupying their own single-family dwelling or their own dwelling in a multi-family building.
- Is the owner of the dwelling applied for.
- The dwelling must be the applicant’s primary residence.
- The dwelling applied for must be located within the regulatory limits of the locality within the relevant municipality, must be used for residential purposes only and the address of the dwelling must not have a trader registered in the Commercial Register or a legal entity registered in the Register of Non-Profit Legal Entities.
- If the Applicant is the owner of a dwelling in a multi-family building, he/she must have the consent of the condominium and must submit a copy of the Resolution of the General Meeting of the Owners.
- The dwelling uses an inefficient source of heat (stove, boiler, fireplace, etc.) fired by solid fuel (wood, coal, etc.).
- The dwelling has consumed electricity for at least 6 months prior to the announcement of this procedure.
- A building permit has been issued for the construction of a solar installation for domestic hot water or photovoltaic systems up to 10 kWp.
- Submit a tender for the supply and installation of the installation or system, containing a proposal or documentation of the installation or system supplied and installed.
- Have paid the local taxes and fees due at the time of application for the property where the installation or system will be installed.
